Nessa is a litigation counsel in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office and represents clients in complex litigation, class actions, and corporate investigations. She works with companies in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, pet food, real estate, and health care. Nessa also dedicates her time to pro bono, representing clients in immigration proceedings, landlord-tenant disputes, and adoptions.
- Defending a leading pet food manufacturer in false advertising putative class actions filed in three states, where plaintiffs allege violations of consumer fraud statutes for labeling of certain pet food products.
- Defending an international oil and gas company in litigations against a county commission over the denial of permits related to transport of crude oil.
- Defending a major pharmaceutical company in multi-billion, multi-state litigation involving allegations of public nuisance, false advertising, other consumer fraud claims in connection with the sale and marketing of prescription pain medications.
- Conducted internal investigations on behalf of large healthcare insurer and medical device manufacturer related to federal inquiries.
- Represented a large affordable housing syndicator in a 13-day JAMS arbitration alleging breach of contract and fiduciary duties.
- Represented a healthcare insurer in settling a class action lawsuit alleging RICO violations, fraud, and negligent misrepresentation.
