China’s Cyberspace Body Issues Draft on Cross-Border Data Flow Controls
4月 26, 2017O’Melveny partner Ron Cheng authored a Forbes.com post on draft measures recently issued by China’s Cyberspace Administration regarding security assessments for cross-border transfers of personal or important data. According to the article, “the data-localization and other requirements are likely to have the most apparent impact on multinational businesses that conduct business — including business in China — on worldwide platforms.”
Cheng handles both anti-corruption and data security and privacy matters and is co-located in Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
