Chinese Companies Targeting Southern California for Growth OpportunitiesOctober 17, 2016
O'Melveny partners Tony Wang and Mark Peterson, and associate Michael Reynolds co-authored the October 17, 2016, Orange County Business Journal article “Chinese Companies Targeting Southern California for Growth Opportunities.”
The authors discuss how “[s]tructural economic dynamics continue to favor increased interest in US assets by investors in China” and conclude that “Orange Countyʼs diverse business landscape (particularly in the fields of technology, entertainment, healthcare, and real estate) offers a plethora of appealing prospects for investment, acquisition, or partnership, so this is a market dynamic to watch in 2017.”
Wang focuses his practice on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on private equity, venture capital, merger and acquisition, and Asia-related media and entertainment transactions. With more than a decade of experience as a general counsel and chief legal officer of Orange County businesses, Peterson aids clients with complex acquisitions, board-level issues, and practical, business-savvy legal advice. Reynolds represents clients in corporate finance, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions matters.
