Crain’s New York Business: Congress Must Set up an Insurance Fund to Deal with the Pandemic
April 7, 2020
O’Melveny partners Tancred Schiavoni and Gary Svirsky co-authored this bylined article, which discusses the need to set up an effective insurance fund for businesses affected by COVID-19.
“Now that the CARES Act is law, which will help support people and businesses during the crisis, Congress needs to think about getting the economy back up on its feet,” the authors wrote. “That is obviously an important goal on its own. But it is also necessary to make sure there is insurance available in the future for pandemic risks and business interruption losses.”
