Daily Journal: A Reprieve for DACA RecipientsJuly 2, 2020
O’Melveny partners Maggie Carter and Daniel Suvor and counsel Daniel Tully co-authored this article discussing the US Supreme Court’s recent ruling in favor of DACA recipients. The US Court’s decision rejected the “Trump administration’s attempt to rescind Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, commonly known as DACA,” which grants temporary forbearance of removal to qualified undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children, the authors wrote. “It is a welcome result for the 700,000 current recipients across the country, nearly a quarter of whom reside in California.”
