O'Melveny partner Eric Sibbitt and associate Adam Ajlouni co-wrote the article “Opportunities for Strategic Debt Repurchases” for the June 2017 edition of The Banking Law Journal. The authors discuss strategic debt repurchases, which may provide certain companies a cost-effective and efficient means of canceling outstanding debt, capturing discounts to par, reducing interest expense, enhancing flexibility by deleveraging and potentially removing restrictive covenants, or potentially improving the company’s debt rating.

Sibbit, who resides in the firm’s San Francisco office, structures and executes initial public offerings and other complex capital-raising transactions for companies and underwriters, including NYSE and NASDAQ listings, registered follow-on offerings, global offerings, PIPEs and other private offerings, and liability management transactions.
