O’Melveny partner Lisa Pensabene and associate Caitlin Hogan co-authored the August 26, 2016, article “Potential Crisis in Patent Law? Patent Eligibility of Medical Advances,” for Euromoney LMG’s Expert Guides. The article discusses several recent rulings related to “laws of nature,” which are patent ineligible to avoid unreasonably curbing the use of the underlying natural laws.
Pensabene is head of the firm’s Life Science Litigation Practice and handles high-stakes patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Hogan focuses her practice on complex patent litigation. They both reside in O’Melveny’s New York office.
