O’Melveny partner Ronald Cheng, along with Jason Smolanoff, co-president of CISO Advisory & Investigations, co-authored the August 23, 2016, Pratt’s Privacy & Cybersecurity Law Report article “The Business Email Compromise: The Growing Cyberthreat Challenge Facing General Counsel.” 

According to the authors, “business email compromises” pose a growing challenge for companies, but one against which in-house counsel can be a crucial first line of defense. The article discusses the problem and suggests steps in-house counsel can take to prepare for these threats.
