The Overlooked Importance of Firm Pro Bono WorkFebruary 9, 2018
In his February 9, 2018, Above the Law column, O’Melveny’s David Lash discusses the impact law firm pro bono programs may have on firms’ diversity efforts.
“Diversity begets diversity,” Lash writes. “Being present in diverse communities through a robust pro bono program also sends a powerful message about a firm’s values, with all the importance that such messaging can bring.”
As Managing Counsel for Pro Bono and Public Interest Services, Lash oversees the firm’s national and international pro bono program. His background and skills include complex business litigation including trial and appellate representation, real estate matters, corporate governance, board relations, labor and employment, and all areas of public policy and community relations.
