We Need a Poverty Summit

6월 9, 2017

O’Melveny’s managing counsel for pro bono and public interest services David Lash wrote the article “We Need a Poverty Summit” for Jewish Journal. In the article, Lash calls to the Jewish community to spearhead a week-long summit to address the issue of poverty from a variety of disciplines in order to launch a “comprehensive plan to attack this suffering in all the many ways that are needed.”

“As leaders of a Jewish community that for generations has argued about, debated, and taken action to help the impoverished among us, we have the will to address issues of poverty as never before. With the right people in the room, one week of uninterrupted focus is all we ask. It could change our nation forever,” Lash concludes.

Lash helps oversee O’Melveny’s international pro bono program. He is based in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
