An article titled “Will The US Finally Enact a Federal Data Privacy Act~ Comparing Bills Introduced by the Republican and Democratic Parties~”, co-authored by Yuko Zaha and Scott W. Pink, appears in the October edition of Business Homu. The United States is one of the few countries that does not have a national consumer privacy law.  After GDPR in Europe and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) were enacted, the efforts to enact a comprehensive federal data privacy act began to accelerate.  The article introduces such moves toward enactment of a comprehensive federal data privacy act, comparing bills introduced or released by the Republican and Democratic Parties in late 2019 through early 2020.
