O’Melveny partner Laurel Loomis Rimon will speak at ABA/ABA’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Conference on December 10, 2020. The conference will bring experienced banking and legal professionals together to discuss BSA/AML/CFT compliance programs.
Rimon will join the “Evaluating Your Risk Exposure for Digital Currencies and Fintechs” panel, which will explore regulatory concerns and risk exposure in the world of digital payments. The panel will discuss the approach banks take to conducting risk assessments, completing due diligence reviews, and evaluating their ongoing monitoring with respect to virtual currency, cryptocurrency, and fintechs.
A former federal prosecutor and experienced litigator, Rimon represents clients on a broad range of anti-money laundering and fintech enforcement issues, as well as sensitive internal investigations and criminal and civil litigation.
