Amdursky to Speak on Employment Discrimination at Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel Annual Meeting

December 3, 2009
O'Melveny partner Eric Amdursky will be presenting an "Employment Discrimination Update" during the 21st Annual All Hands Meeting for the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel on December 3 in Santa Clara, CA. The All Hands Meeting is an annual MCLE conference for in-house counsel and human resources executives at technology and life science companies produced in cooperation with the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel.

California employers are not alone in feeling that this past year was a particularly momentous year for anti-discrimination law. California courts have predictably continued to release more employee-friendly decisions that place an increasing burden on employers. Although the United States Supreme Court released decisions favoring both employers and employees, Congress has been critical of several decisions and has threatened superseding legislation.  Amdursky's presentation will cover the significant, if not disjointed, developments in employment discrimination law over the last year that California employers need to understand and adapt to as they seek to manage a diverse workforce.
