Bartie to Speak at Esports Bar Association Conference

O’Melveny partner Jared Bartie will serve on the panel, “Streaming, sponsorships, partnerships, branding, and IP,” at the inaugural Esports Bar Association Conference to be held June 11, 2018 at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. The panel will also include Robby Forbes, Sr. Dir. Legal - Esports Leagues, Activision Blizzard; Chrissie Scelsi, US General Counsel, Wargaming; and Eric Tam, who handles business development at Twitch.

A nationally recognized sports attorney, Bartie was named a “Dealmaker” by Variety, a “Power-Player” by SportsBusiness Journal, and “Sports Attorney of the Year” by the National Bar Association. Bartie’s career uniquely encompasses both legal and business professional sports and entertainment experience. He has served as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of the United States Tennis Association (USTA); General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of the NBA Charlotte Bobcats; an executive in the National Basketball Association’s renowned Team Marketing and Business Operations group; Acting Chief Counsel of Productions at Black Entertainment Television; and General Counsel of Maxim Magazine.
