Chopra to Speak at ABA's 7th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference

O’Melveny partner and Chair of the Labor and Employment Practice, Apalla Chopra (LA), will be speaking at ABA's "7th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference," to be held on November 6-9, 2013 in New Orleans.

Apalla will be on the panel for "Overcoming New Hurdles for Class Certification" to discuss issues in class action employment litigation and provide useful pointers for practitioners. Topics will include the Supreme Court's Comcast Corp. v. Behrend decision, the Sixth Circuit's Serrano v. Cintas decision, follow up on Dukes v. Wal-Mart Stores, and the impact, if any, of Genesis Healthcare Corp. v. Symczyk on Rule 23 class certification motions.
