Longo to Speak at E-Discovery and Records Retention Conference二月 26-27, 2009
O’Melveny partner Amy Longo will be participating in the Electronic Discovery and Records Retention Conference: Beyond Faith Based Electronic Discovery on February 26-27 at The Four Seasons Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.
On Thursday, February 26, Longo will be a panelist in two workshops. The first, titled, “Beyond Faith Based Electronic Discovery” will examine how lack of planning with one’s electronic discovery process can cause chaos resulting in wasted time and increased costs. The panelists will communicate the value of the Victor Stanley case and the importance that ‘key word searching’ plays in a successful plan. Longo’s second workshop, “Ethical Issues,” analyzes disclosure- conflicts check, achieving and maintaining competency, and failing strategies.
On day two of the conference, Longo will discuss “The Pitfalls of Handoff” detailing how to avoid issues surrounding handoff of data by addressing the procedure of getting data from one stage to the next and the correct tools to get there, the passage of data from one organization to the next, and how data is passed between people without loss.
