Michael to Speak at AIJA International Arbitration Commission Conference

October 7, 2016

O'Melveny associate Margarita N. Michael will speak at a workshop on choosing the seat of arbitration and due process concerns when enforcing an arbitration award at the AIJA International Arbitration Commission's 8th Annual Arbitration Conference in New York City on October 7, 2016.

The session will address considerations in choosing a seat for strategic reasons, as well as implications the choice of the seat may have on different aspects that can impact or delay an arbitration, such as cost considerations, procedural and other expectations, and enforcement prospects.

Michael resides in O’Melveny’s London office and focuses on international arbitration and business litigation. A solicitor advocate with full rights of audience before the English courts, her extensive practice includes cross-border dispute resolution, particularly international arbitration and High Court litigation.
