Nonaka to Speak on Conducting an Effective Document-Intensive Internal Investigation

O'Melveny partner Scott Nonaka will co-present an executive briefing on Conducting an Effective Document-Intensive Internal Investigation . The briefing will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m on June 23. O'Melveny is co-sponsoring this event with H5, an information retrieval service provider to the legal industry.

In the briefing, Nonaka and Michael Rubenstein, Senior Practice Director for H5, will present a case study of a recently completed internal investigation. Their discussion will focus on cutting-edge methods to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the review of documents while minimizing the costs associated with that review. In particular, the presenters will focus on:

  • Key considerations at the start of the investigation;
  • Protecting privilege and confidentiality;
  • Searching large volumes of electronically stored information;
  • Dealing with highly technical subject matter; and
  • Working on a limited budget, against a tight deadline
