O'Melveny to Host "Strategically Managing Your Workforce: Adjusting to Changes on Wall Street and in Washington"

February 4-5, 2009

These are challenging times. The rapid deterioration of business conditions requires employers to manage their workforce to ensure correct alignment with business needs. Whether it is right-sizing or restructuring your workforce, it is critically important to implement sound strategies to (1) successfully re-position your workforce, (2) minimize employee-related litigation risks, and, at the same time, (3) ensure compliance with the web of labor and employment laws that impact all businesses. A new administration brings with it a high likelihood of additional changes to the regulatory framework governing these decisions.

O’Melveny invites its friends and clients to join our labor and employment partners for an open discussion of these issues and more. Our lawyers will discuss best practices for addressing labor and employment issues in today's business environment, share their view of recent and relevant developments in legislation and case law, and offer a forward-looking assessment of how changes in Washington will impact the workplace.

Our speakers include the following members of O’Melveny’s Labor Practice: Fram Virjee, Apalla ChopraEric AmdurskyJeff Kohn, and Mark Robertson
