Fowler to Present on the Future of eDiscovery at e-Stet ConferenceDecember 10, 2012
O’Melveny & Myers LLP Los Angeles partner Jeffrey Fowler is the featured speaker at e-Stet’s Breakfast Series on December, 10, 2012, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the City Club in Los Angeles. Fowler, one of the founders and leaders of the Firm's Electronic Discovery and Document Retention Practice, will present on “The Future of eDiscovery and its Impact on the Careers of Lawyers, Technologists, Paralegals, and Litigation Support Professionals,” speculating the upcoming year will continue the forward momentum ediscovery experienced in 2012.
In his discussion, Fowler will address how developments in key industries will impact the careers of ediscovery specialists, including: the judiciary’s unprecedented involvement in paving the way for new document review technologies; litigants’ continued struggles with preservation compliance and allegations evidence spoliation; a growing number of clients who outsource document review to specialized legal service and consulting firms; new consumer technology, including smaller and more powerful handheld devices and integrated use of the cloud; and the consolidations, acquisitions, and rapid fire growth of the service provider community.
