O’Melveny partner Heather Meeker will chair the Practising Law Institute’s conference, “Open Source Software 2019: From Compliance to Cooperation,” which will cover contemporary legal issues confronting the open source and free software community. The event will take place on October 1 at PLI California in San Francisco, as well as by live webcast.
Meeker, whose practice focuses on advising technology clients on intellectual property matters, will provide opening remarks and present on “The Legal and Business Risks of Non-Compliance.” The session will examine the enforcement landscape, compliance, damages and other remedies, and non-legal consequences.
