Siegel to Speak at The Heritage Foundation's Unionizing Through RegulationJanuary 13, 2011
O'Melveny partner Robert Siegel (LA) will speak at The Heritage Foundation's "Unionizing Through Regulation," to be held on January 13, 2011. Robert and other panelists will discuss the push to unionize by regulation and examine the roles of the Obama Administration and Congress. Private sector unionization rates have fallen to an 80-year low. Unions have responded to their falling membership by seeking to change the law. The midterm election ended their push to have Congress eliminate secret ballot unionizing elections. Unions have now shifted their focus to the Executive Branch.
