O’Melveny Washington, DC partner Ian Simmons will speak at the University of Southern California (USC) Gould School of Law’s 30th Anniversary Institute for Corporate Counsel on December 7, 2011, in Los Angeles.
Simmons will be speaking on a panel entitled “Significant Legislative and Regulatory Developments.” The panel will discuss recent changes in intellectual property law (including the America Invents Act), the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and the Department of Justice’s new horizontal merger regulation – and what these changes might mean for business and the economy at large.
O’Melveny alum Brian Brooks, now Vice Chairman at OneWest Bank, will also be speaking on this panel.
