Charles “Chuck” Baker, Co-Chair of O’Melveny’s Sports Industry Group, will serve as a panelist at the University of Michigan School of Kinesiology’s Sport Management webinar, “Sports Valuations & Venture Capital Opportunities.” Hosted via Zoom, the event will take place on August 19 at 1:00 pm ET. “Sports Valuations & Venture Capital Opportunities” will offer attendees an opportunity to learn about real-world sport management issues. Joining Baker on the panel are Basil Iwanyk (Film Producer/Founder, Thunder Road Films and Game 1) and Julie Uhrman (Co-Founder & President, Angel City). Barry Klarberg (Sport Management Lecturer/Founder & Managing Partner, Monarch Business & Wealth Management) will moderate the event, which also features a Q&A for attendees.
Baker represents buyers and sellers of sports franchises in the National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, National Women’s Soccer League, and many of the European football leagues. He is frequently recognized in many national publications as a thought leader in sports and entertainment law. The American Lawyer named Baker to its 2019 “Dealmakers of the Year” list.
