Srinavasan to Speak at DRI Webcast on Hertz v. FriendApril 20, 2010
O'Melveny partner Sri Srinavasan will participate in a panel webcast, "Hertz v. Friend: A Defense Victory and a Tool for Avoiding Plaintiff-Friendly State Court Jurisdictions," presented by DRI's Appellate Advocacy Committee. The panel will discuss the issue at stake in Hertz — how should courts determine a nationwide corporation’s “principal place of business”? — and will explore the Supreme Court’s resolution of this issue and its implications for corporate defendants.
