The 25th Anniversary of Prop 187’s DefeatDecember 18, 2019
O’Melveny and MALDEF will co-host a CLE presentation and panel discussion on Proposition 187 by the attorneys, law firms, and nonprofit organizations that helped defeat it. This timely session comes as we mark the 25th anniversary of the passage of Proposition 187 in 1994 and its legal defeat.
Our examination of this historic legal result will begin with a presentation by O’Melveny partner Daniel Suvor, followed by a panel discussion moderated by MALDEF President and General Counsel Thomas A. Saenz. Panelists will include The Honorable Vilma Martinez, Former Ambassador to Argentina; Mark Rosenbaum, Director of Public Counsel Opportunity Under Law; and retired O’Melveny partner Alan Rader.
The event will take place in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office at 400 S. Hope Street on December 18 from 5:30-8:30 pm. To RSVP, contact Teri Rodriguez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
