Charles “Chuck” Baker and Irwin Raij, co-chairs of O’Melveny’s Sports Industry Group, will explore “The Role of Lawyers in Professional Sports Franchise Acquisitions,” at an event hosted October 11 by the Committee on Sports & Entertainment Law at Harvard Law School. The discussion, which will be moderated by Harvard Law Professor Peter Carfagna, will focus on navigating the shifting sports franchise landscape, including Baker and Raij’s representation of investor David Tepper in his recent acquisition of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers last summer.
