Tubach Participates in ABA Brown Bag Panel on Cartel Investigations

January 27, 2009
On January 27, O'Melveny partner Michael Tubach participated in the third of eight sessions of the ABA's "Litigating and Trying Complex Civil Antitrust Class Actions: An Eight Part Brown Bag Series." Tubach was a panelist in the session titled "Defense Considerations in Cartel Investigations", which focused on the practical issues and strategic considerations that confront company and individual counsel in cartel investigations in the United States and abroad in the early stages of an investigation.

In addition to Tubach, other panelists included Krystal Bowen (Partner, Bingham McCutchen LLP), Joel Sanders (Partner, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP), and George Addy (Partner, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP). Joshua Holian (Partner, Latham & Watkins LLP) moderated the discussion.

ABA's Brown Bag discussion series brings together moderators and speakers from the plaintiffs' and defendants' bar, enforcement officials, economists, academics, and experienced in-house counsel to examine mainstream topics in civil antitrust class action litigation, as well as more complex considerations, developments, and strategies for the initial investigation all the way through to trial.
