Prior to joining O’Melveny, Michele was the Regional Director of the SEC's Los Angeles office for more than a decade where she managed nearly 200 staff and oversaw all of the office’s enforcement investigations, litigation, and examinations of SEC registrants in a four state region. She was the longest serving female regional director and one of the longest serving senior enforcement leaders in the agency’s history. During nearly three decades at the SEC, Michele led high-profile enforcement actions covering every facet of the SEC’s jurisdiction including matters involving financial reporting and accounting, disclosure, auditor misconduct, asset managers, insider trading, broker-dealers, market manipulation, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and anti-money laundering.
