ACTL: Tubach Inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers

O’Melveny partner Michael Tubach was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the nation’s premier legal associations, during its 2026 Spring Meeting in La Quinta, California.

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship is extended only by invitation, after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. 

Tubach represents companies and individuals in DOJ antitrust investigations and has been lead counsel in dozens of antitrust class actions. He has tried more than 40 cases and argued 20 appeals. Recognized by numerous legal-ranking guides as a leading practitioner in civil and criminal antitrust litigation, Tubach has been listed in Chambers Global, Chambers USA, The Legal 500 US, PLC Which Lawyer, and Best Lawyers in America ®, among others.

A 35-year veteran litigator and leader in the legal community, Tubach served as President of the Bar Association of San Francisco in 2016, and has served as a member of the ABA Antitrust Section’s International Cartel Task Force. He is a frequent panel speaker on various legal issues—including at the ABA Antitrust Section’s Spring Meeting, the Practicing Law Institute, the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the State Bar of California’s Antitrust Section. He also teaches a course on antitrust at Berkeley Law School.

A respected and long-serving leader within O’Melveny, Tubach is Co-Chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice. He has also served on the firm’s Policy Committee (its board of directors), as managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office, and as Chair of the firmwide Pro Bono Committee.
