O’Melveny Named to Disability Rights Maryland’s Pro Bono Honor Roll
September 11, 2023
O’Melveny was recently named to the Disability Rights Maryland (DRM) Pro Bono Honor Roll, which recognizes law firms and attorneys who generously volunteered their time and expertise to advance DRM’s mission between October 1, 2021 and September 30, 2022. DRM also recognized O’Melveny counsel Patrick Jones on their list of “Individual Attorneys Honored for Exemplary Pro Bono Service.”
A non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, DRM provides free legal services to Marylanders of any age with all types of disabilities (developmental, intellectual, psychiatric, physical, sensory, learning, traumatic brain injury), who live in facilities, in the community, or who are homeless. With thousands of individuals with disabilities contacting DRM for legal help every year, DRM’s pro bono program enables the organization to extend its reach and offer essential legal services to a greater number of people.
“The remarkable efforts of these attorneys and firms are a testament to their dedication to social justice and willingness to give back to their communities,” the organization noted. “Their commitment to advancing disability rights and promoting equal justice improves the lives of Marylanders with disabilities and makes Maryland a better place for all.”
