O’Melveny Ranks #1 in The American Lawyer’s Midlevel Associates Survey for 3rd Consecutive Year

NEW YORK—September 4, 2025—O’Melveny again ranked #1 for associate satisfaction in The American Lawyer’s 2025 Midlevel Associates Survey of nearly 70 law firms nationwide—the third year in a row that the firm has placed first. It also marks the firm’s 11th consecutive appearance in the top four.
In regional office rankings, associates selected O’Melveny #1 in Century City, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley. The firm’s Washington, DC office was ranked #3, the Dallas office was ranked #5, and the New York office was ranked #6.
Associates also ranked O’Melveny #1 for technology, reflecting the firm’s successful efforts to provide an outstanding work environment, as well as O’Melveny’s longtime commitment to staying ahead of the innovation curve. And they rated the firm highly for how interesting and important their work is, how well partners and associates work together, and the value the firm places on pro bono work.

The American Lawyer Midlevel Associates Survey adds to the recent wave of accolades that the firm has garnered for its inclusive and supportive culture. For the 14th year in a row, the firm was named to The American Lawyer’s “A-List,” a measure of holistic excellence in the legal industry. In addition, for the second consecutive year, O’Melveny earned the #1 ranking as the “Best Law Firm to Work For” in Vault’s annual survey of law firm associates—marking the fourth time in the past six years that O’Melveny has ranked #1.
