Lambda Legal: VICTORY! Court Dismisses Lawsuit Challenging California’s Transgender Prison Policy

The US District Court for the Eastern District of California dismissed a lawsuit filed against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation challenging SB132, the law protecting transgender people incarcerated in California. Lambda Legal, Transgender Law Center, the ACLU Foundation of Southern California, and O’Melveny & Myers LLP joined California’s request to dismiss the case on behalf of the Transgender Gender-Variant & Intersex Justice Project and four currently incarcerated trans women.
