A small US computer company called Hyundai Technology has been told to pay US$2.5 million by a California federal jury to Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Co. and its American affiliate Hyundai Motor America after being accused of tarnishing the auto giant’s brand by selling low-quality consumer electronics and seeking to falsely convince consumers that it was associated with the plaintiffs.
