Law360: O’Melveny Forms Security Task Force With Ex-Gov’t Attys

O’Melveny announced the creation of a National Security Enforcement Task Force to help clients navigate the heightened risks posed by the increasingly aggressive national security enforcement priorities of the US Departments of Justice, Commerce, Treasury, and Homeland Security, as well as Congress. “The thing that really caught our attention was the fact that the Justice Department is not only amping up resources, but they’re focusing on corporations and they're increasing their guidance to corporations, which of course leads to an increase in expectations of corporations in these national security areas,” said O’Melveny National Security Group chair Greta Nightingale, who will co-lead the task force with White Collar Defense and Corporate Investigations Practice co-chairs Steve Olson and Mark Racanelli.
