The American Lawyer: O’Melveny Revenue Shot Up 9% in Record-Setting Year of Diversified Growth

In a milestone year for O’Melveny, the firm’s gross revenue surged by 8.8% to US$1.2 billion, amid an increase in demand and headcount. The firm also topped the American Lawyer’s Midlevel Associates Survey for the third consecutive year in 2025 and finished in the top 10 of American Lawyer’s A-List, an amalgam of financial metrics, pro bono, diversity and associate satisfaction. “We again grew both our top and bottom lines while expanding into areas that enhance our ability to thrive in an ultra-competitive market while fostering a vibrant culture,” firm chair Bradley J. Butwin said. “As our performance demonstrates, the pursuit of our long-term strategic vision has worked very well for us and our clients, and we want to carry that momentum forward by expanding our market position in core practice areas,” Butwin added. “We’re very blessed to have a solid core of clients to look to, year in, year out, for work across many disciplines and geographies, but we also are focused on emerging growth areas.”
