With mega M&A deals becoming “the new normal” and transactional work powering a major second-half swell last year, several Am Law 50 law firms have announced M&A and private equity partners in the last few weeks, as the firms continue to stockpile deal talent amid what analysts have called a “highly atypical” period in the legal industry, resulting from a simultaneous surge of litigation and deal work.
