Jeff Shell, the former president of Paramount Skydance, has resolved litigation with a gambler who accused him of leaking confidential company information and who sought US$150 million for off-the-books crisis PR work. The two sides each dropped their suits with prejudice. O’Melveny partner and Litigation Department co-chair Steve Olson wrote in the lawsuit: “Cipriani did not come to Court to enforce some purported oral agreement. He came to complete a shakedown.” The O’Melveny team representing Shell also includes partners Tim Heafner and Lindsey Greer Dotson, counsel Sam Donohue, and associates Larson Ishii and Emma Lux.
