O’Melveny Advises in Loan Transaction To Support Indonesian Coffee Farming Industry

SINGAPORE—July 8, 2026—An O’Melveny pro bono team advised impact investment manager Beneficial Returns, in connection with its loan to CV Royal Ontosoroh, a specialty Indonesian coffee exporter that partners with local farmers to sustainably and ethically source premium beans from across Indonesia’s renowned coffee-growing regions. The loan will support coffee purchases during the harvest season, ensuring timely payments to farmers and fulfilling growing export demand for high-quality Indonesian coffee.

Beneficial Returns provides affordable debt financing to small and medium-sized social enterprises that reduce poverty and protect the natural environment in Southeast Asia and Latin America, with a particular focus on the sustainable food and agriculture; clean water; and renewable energy sectors.
