O’Melveny Bolsters White Collar Practice With Former Top LA Federal Prosecutor Lindsey Greer Dotson

September 29, 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOS ANGELES—September 29, 2025—O’Melveny announced today that Lindsey Greer Dotson, a former Assistant US Attorney for the Central District of California and chief of the Criminal Division, has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in the White Collar Defense & Corporate Investigations Practice Group. She will represent and advise multinational and domestic public companies, boards of directors, audit committees, officers, and directors on complex white collar matters, including criminal cases, internal and regulatory investigations, governance and compliance issues, and enforcement concerns.

For more than a decade, Dotson served as a prosecutor for the Central District of California—the largest federal judicial district in the US. As Criminal Division chief, she oversaw approximately 200 lawyers across 13 sections and branch offices, and managed a wide array of sophisticated, headline-making prosecutions. Dotson also served as chief of the Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section. Throughout her tenure, she prosecuted and supervised more than 100 corruption and white collar investigations, first-chaired seven federal jury trials, and handled several of the country’s most consequential corruption, fraud, tax, and civil rights cases.

Before entering government service, Dotson was a litigation associate at Gibson Dunn, where she represented clients in white collar and civil litigation matters. She began her career as a clerk for the Hon. Jacqueline H. Nguyen of the United States District Court for the Central District of California (who now sits on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals).

“We are delighted to welcome Lindsey to our firm,” said O’Melveny chair Bradley J. Butwin. “Our clients will immediately benefit from her keen insight into the Department of Justice’s evolving enforcement priorities, her experience managing some of the most sophisticated criminal matters in the country, and her stellar trial skills. It is a pleasure to welcome her aboard.”

“O’Melveny is the perfect fit for me as I return to private practice,” said Dotson. “The firm has a proud tradition of public service, and it’s a litigation powerhouse with an all-star White Collar roster. I’m excited to contribute to such an impressive team and to help our clients overcome their most significant challenges.”

Dotson’s addition accelerates O’Melveny’s continued strategic growth. She is the 42nd lateral partner to join the firm since 2023. Her arrival also bolsters O’Melveny’s renowned White Collar Defense & Corporate Investigations Practice, which has added several high-profile lawyers from the public sector in recent years, including:

  • Kevin Barstow, former White House senior counsel and special assistant to the President, who joined the firm’s Washington, DC office in May 2025;
