O’Melveny Selects Kaplan, Pahlavan, and Alger for 2024 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Programs

NEW YORK—February 14, 2024—O’Melveny has selected partner Lauren Kaplan, counsel Sara N. Pahlavan, and associate Brooke Alger to participate in prestigious 2024 programs with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), an organization comprised of managing partners and general counsel who collaborate to promote a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive legal profession.
Kaplan has been named to the LCLD’s Fellows program, which identifies, develops, and mentors the future leaders of the legal industry. The Fellows Program is one of the most respected appointments in legal diversity.
Pahlavan and Alger have been accepted into the LCLD’s Pathfinders program, which provides promising, early-career attorneys from diverse backgrounds with mentoring, leadership skills training, and relationship-building resources.
Kaplan, who is based in O’Melveny’s Los Angeles office, defends and counsels companies in highly regulated industries in bet-the-company litigation and high-stakes investigations; she also has an active pro bono practice. Pahlavan is a litigator in O’Melveny’s San Francisco office who represents clients in complex commercial litigation and class action defense. Based in O’Melveny’s Houston office, Alger represents clients in energy project development, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions.
