ABA Journal: Summer Associates Praise Their ‘Lifestyle Firms,’ Even As Some Midlevels Describe Them As ‘Veritable Sweatshops’

O’Melveny & Myers LLP took the #5 spot on The American Lawyer’s 2022 Summer Associate Satisfaction Survey rankings. The associates rated firms based on partner access and mentorship, interactions with other associates, interesting legal work, and their firms’ alignment with their goals and self-image. More than 90% of O’Melveny’s summer associates responded to the survey and gave the firm an average score of 4.977 out of 5.
