Bloomberg Law: Biden Takes Moonshot Approach to Replacing Lead Water Pipes

O’Melveny partner Matt Kline was quoted in this Bloomberg Law article outlining sections of the Biden administration’s recently announced American Jobs Plan that address the nation’s harmful lead water pipes.
The Plan earmarks $111 billion towards modernizing US water infrastructure, roughly 15 percent of what the EPA estimates is needed over the next 20 years. In the article, Kline argued that creative financing and adoption of public-private partnerships “would be a huge lift” for the effort and would address the current demand among investors for water projects to finance.
