Semiconductor chipmaker Broadcom Inc. announced in May that it would acquire cloud services provider VMware Inc. for US$61 billion. The deal, which is being probed by The Competition and Markets Authority in Britain, is currently the largest of 2022. O’Melveny & Myers LLP advised Broadcom on the transaction.
