Bloomberg Law: O’Melveny Adds Energy Dealmaker to Firm’s New Texas Offices

Energy dealmaker Monica Hwang has joined O’Melveny & Myers LLP as a partner in its project development & real estate practice group and energy industry group. Hwang brings more than 14 years of experience in the energy sector and will split time between the firm’s Dallas and Austin offices. She has advised on many of the “largest ‘mega-LNG’ ventures, including Freeport LNG’s US$14 billion export terminal, Total’s US$20 billion Mozambique LNG project, and the US$29.7 billion Wheatstone LNG plant in Australia.” She is also on the Steering Committee of the Women’s Initiative of her local United Way, which “helps students in Greater Houston succeed in school and families in gaining financial stability.”
