NKM Transportation #7 in its list of “Top 10 Most Impressive Defense Verdicts of 2021.” A Florida state court jury deliberated for less than 90 minutes following a nine-day trial and determined that FedEx truck driver Jerry Mondestin was not responsible for a crash that killed a woman, and injured her daughter and another passenger. The plaintiff’s attorneys sought more than US$18 million in damages after the woman lost control of her car and ran into a concrete pole to avoid a head-on collision with an SUV.
