The war for legal talent in Asia is surging with at least 20 new partner appointments in the second half of 2021 going to lawyers who were counsel or associates at their previous firms and a large number of partner promotions within global law firms going to Asian-based lawyers. O'Melveny & Myers LLP recently appointed 13 new partners and three of them, Alan Bao, Ye Sun, and Vincent Lin, will be based in the firm's Beijing and Shanghai offices.
