December 1, 2021

Veteran dealmaker Lindsay Conner has joined O’Melveny as a partner in the firm's Century City office. Conner said we was attracted to O’Melveny’s high-quality entertainment practice and expertise in cross-border deals. “Globalization is one of the two most important trends affecting the entertainment industry,” Conner said. “I recognized that years ago, and I made a special effort to develop expertise in China and elsewhere to meet that need.” The entertainment lawyer has brokered a number of high-profile deals including the sale of Treasure Studio to UK-based Moonbug Entertainment and KC Global Media Entertainment's acquisition of four pan-Asian networks owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Conner also advised Huayi Brothers Media Corp. on a three-year, 18-film, co-financing and distribution contract with STX and represented Beijing-based Perfect World Pictures in a US$500 million deal with Universal Pictures that remains the largest Chinese investment in Hollywood ever. He expects to bring most of his clients with him to O’Melveny.
