Law360: AstraZeneca Gets Seroquel Pay-For-Delay Case Cut In Half

US District Judge Colm F. Connolly ruled that an estimated US$107 million tradeoff between AstraZeneca and Accord Healthcare does not prove that the two agreed to a “pay-for-delay” deal. The decision is part of a 2019 suit brought by a putative class alleging that AstraZeneca engaged in “pay-for-delay” agreements with Par Pharmaceuticals, Handa, and Accord. Par is represented by Stephen J. McIntyre, Brett J. Williamson, and Ben Bradshaw of O’Melveny & Myers LLP.
