Law360: Golden Corral Defeated In 4th Circ. Virus Coverage Appeal

The Fourth Circuit denied Golden Corral’s appeal to a North Carolina federal court’s ruling that the restaurant chain did not qualify for pandemic-related insurance coverage under its US$50 million policy with Illinois Union Insurance Co. The court cited the decision in Uncork and Create LLC v. The Cincinnati Insurance Company et al., saying that Golden Corral did not experience a physical loss or damage resulting from COVID-19.
